A number of celebrities have also chosen this regional area as their home.  Coffs Harbour is currently the training grounds for the Sydney Rabbitohs Rugby League Team. Renowned actor Russell Crowe and his family own property near the picturesque township of Nana Glen, located in the beautiful Orara Valley. Singer Wendy Matthews, actor Jack Thompson, game show host Larry Emdur all own real estate property in the area. Getting Here
Driving time from Sydney is about 6 hours and from Brisbane about 4 hours. 

There are several flights per day which link Coffs Harbour to Sydney and Brisbane (visit Qantas, VirginAustralia or Brindabella Airlines for details.)   Flights last approx 1 hour. 

Direct weekend flights to Melbourne are also available via VirginAustralia Flights last approx 2 hours.

Seasonal Information
Coffs Harbour boasts the most temperate climate in Australia which ranges from an average of about 26°C (79°F) in summer to about 18°C (64°F) in winter, including frequent summer days of up to 30-40°C range.

Beaches
There are several wonderful beaches within 20 minutes of Coffs Harbour including:

  1. Jetty Beach, located near the Marina and protected by a breakwall providing calm and safe swimming conditions for all the family.
  2. Park Beach, a surf beach which has an area patrolled for safe swimming by the local surf club.
  3. Diggers Beach, a favourite amongst local and visiting surfers alike.
  4. Boambee Beach, an open unpatrolled beach with 4 wheel drive access. A favourite for fishing.
  5. Sawtell Beach, a patrolled beach for swimming, walking, fishing, surfing or whale watching from the headland.
